Molaee began his professional journey in cinema in 2011, working as the editor for the film ‘The Red Hat and the Kiddo’, directed by Iraj Tahmasb.
Although the success of ‘The Red Hat and the Kiddo’ did not match his later acclaimed works, it provided valuable experience and an opportunity to collaborate with renowned artists such as Hamid Jebelli, Iraj Tahmasb, and Khosro Ahmadi.
In 2016, Molaee experienced a pivotal year in his career, contributing to four major projects that firmly established his reputation in the film and television industry.
His work as an editor on the series ‘Eight and a Half Minutes’, directed by Shahram Shah-Hosseini, was particularly significant, showing his skill and earning him recognition in the television industry.
In 2017, Molaee lent his editing expertise to the critically acclaimed war drama ‘The Lost Strait’, directed by Bahram Tavakoli.
‘The Lost Strait’, which portrays a pivotal moment in Iran’s contemporary history, allowed him to work alongside talented actors such as Javad Ezzati, Mehdi Pakdel, Amir Jadidi, and Ali Soleimani.
Molaee's career spans both cinema and television, but the majority of his work has been in film. Of his 12 professional credits, nine are cinematic productions, including ‘The Pig’, 'The Lost Strait', ‘Murphy’s Law’, and ‘Where Are My Shoes?’, 'The 23 People', 'Gholamreza Takhti' and 'Intoxicated by Love'.
As he continues to be an integral part of Iranian cinema, we look forward to seeing many more remarkable projects from Meysam Molaee. We wish him continued success and many more years of creative contributions to the world of cinema.
